PSALM 91 – NATHANIEL BASSEY [MP3 and LYRICS]
Psalm 91 is one of the very powerful chapters in the bible with great promises of God. In Psalm 91, God promises of safety and security. He promises us that no harm shall befall us. He promises us that He will give His angel charge over us to keep us in all our ways.
Also, God’s promise to us in Psalm 91 is that thou a thousand falls by our side and ten thousand by our right, we shall be safe and secured. What this promise entails is that, amidst trials and tribulations, in the midst of trouble we are always safe, and God is guiding us therefore, we need not fear. Though some trust in chariots and horses, we trust in the name of our God, when they say there is a casting down, we will say there is a lifting up. Such is the security, safety and promise of peace that we get in trusting and believing in God. A peace that passes all understanding, that even in the midst of trouble, you are sure that God is with you, hence no ill can befall you.
Recall that late 2019 precisely around November, Nathaniel Bassey released a new album that according to him, was to prepare us for the coming of the Lord, and usher us into the season of Christmas. That album, he titled “The King is Coming” what a suitable title it was. Psalm 91, is taken from that album, and happens to form the 12th track.
The lyrics of the song, taken directly from the scripture, are very powerful, and was read with cool instrumental orchestration.

Lyrics: Nathaniel Bassey – Psalm 91
He who dwells in the secret place of the most High,
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my strength: my God; in Him I will trust
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings, you shall take refuge:
His truth shall be shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night; nor the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right; but it shall not near you,
Only with your eyes shall you look and behold the reward of the wicked.
Because you have made the Lord who is my redeemer, even the Most High your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.
For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up, lest thou dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra:
The young lion and the serpent, you shall trample under foot.
Because he has set his love upon me,
Therefore will I deliver him:
I will set him on high because he has known my name.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him.
With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.
