Ebuka Songs was raised primarily in Obinze, Imo State, Nigeria, where he was born in 1992. He was born into the Hillary family as the fourth of six children and is an Imo State native from Owerri.

Imo State is where he completed his elementary and secondary schooling. 2019 saw him earn a Bachelor of Theatre Arts degree from Imo State University.

Ebuka Songs’s musical career was impacted by his upbringing in a pious Christian environment from birth. He was young when he realized how much he loved music. However, he began his musical career as a worship leader at Imo State University during his college studies.
