Timothy Chukwudi Godfrey was born on August 26, 1980, in Kaduna, Nigeria, to Mr. and Mrs. Victor Godfrey. He is the second child among six siblings. Although he is originally from Abia State, he received his primary education in Kaduna, Nigeria. In 2018, he was awarded an honorary Doctorate degree in Fine Art and Musicology from the Trinity International University of Ambassadors in Georgia, USA.
Tim Godfrey is widely recognized as the organizer of the annual Fearless Gospel Concert, which has featured renowned international gospel artists such as Marvin Sapp, Kirk Franklin, Travis Greene, Israel Houghton, JJ Hairston, Sammie Okposo, and many others.
One of Tim Godfrey’s notable achievements was his collaboration with Travis Greene on the breakout hit song, “Nara,” which has garnered over 60 million views on YouTube. In 2019, he also collaborated with Israel Houghton on the single “Toya” and worked with JJ Hairston on the single “Onaga” from the latter’s album.
Since 2016, Tim Godfrey has been a regular performer at the Experience concert.
On April 23, 2022, Tim Godfrey tied the knot with his fiancé Erica, whom he had proposed to on Valentine’s Day.
Tim Godfrey is a prominent Nigerian gospel singer, renowned for his collaboration with Travis Greene on the song “Nara.” He is the founder and owner of the record label Rox Nation and also the founder of Xtreme Crew.
